Curriculum Vitae Summary

Dr. Mahmoud Nawaf Al-Khazaleh is a university Associated Professor specializing in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering, Soil Mechanics, and Foundation Engineering. He holds the rank of Associate Professor and has served as the Dean of Munib and Angela Masri Faculty of Engineering, last year was he was Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, Assistant Dean for Scientific Research, and Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Munib and Angela Masri College of Engineering. He also worked in the Sultanate of Oman as the Head of the Engineering Department at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences for 23 consecutive years. He is the founder of the Civil Engineering program in Oman, which includes specializations in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, and Surveying Engineering. He chaired the curriculum committee for Civil, Architectural, and Surveying Engineering programs, supervised graduation projects, and served as the head of the Quality Assurance Committee in the Civil Engineering Department. He founded the first international Civil Engineering Conference in Oman in collaboration with the Civil Engineering Department at Sultan Qaboos University, held on March 26-28, 2018. He also participated in the founding committees of Mutah University’s Civil Wing and Al-Balqa Applied University.

Dr. Al-Khazaleh has over 35 years of teaching experience in Jordanian and Omani universities. He is the founder of the Aqaba Entrepreneurship Network and was selected as an academic consultant for the ENI-WATER_ENERGY_FOOD program, funded by the European Union. He won an award for marketing the best project in water leakage treatment using smart networks, presented by the ENI program. He has been selected as an external examiner for PhD students in Civil Engineering in India multiple times and has participated as a keynote speaker in several local and international conferences.

In the field of scientific research, he has applied research in various areas, including construction materials, eco-friendly materials, soil improvement for foundations, water, and the use of renewable energy in desalination in Aqaba to reduce costs. He has authored several chapters in internationally published books.
